TWITTER BAN: AN ABUSE TO DEMOCRATIC RIGHTS; GOVERNMENT REVERSE NOW!

Source: New York Time

This is almost seven days since the saga in Twitter when millions of users in Nigeria were denied access. Since this period, a lot of Nigerian users have been cut off from the world. The Nigerian government unilaterally went ahead to approach all tech agencies did such without respect to democratic rights on Freedom of Speech and Expression

The Campaigner - a subsidiary of LIFEINSLUM - empathize with millions of Nigerian users, who on daily basis follow up event on Twitter: news around politics, economic, life style, entertainment etc. We believe that what the federal government had done is also a breach to the Freedom of Information Bill, FIB, which was passed by the National Assembly.

We believe that the FIB and other relevant Bills protecting the rights of people to informations  on social can't be denied by any government. Even the Human Rights Laws internationally assured people these basic fundamental rights for people to expressed themselves, accordingly.

As far it is not to promote mayhem or social violence, just as expressed by the lead tweet of the president himself: @buhari; whose tweet was removed. Millions of Nigerians were made to suffered on this because of the reactionary approach of the government on sensitive issues in the country.

We believe it is unjust and complete autocracy on the part of the Nigerian government led by the Buhari administration. It has continue to use it office to continually abuse democratic rights different ways for the six past years. The #endsars is a classic example, where nigerian Working-class Youth were massacre for protesting for democratic rights.

We believe the Buhari led government is completely showing it might of attacking democratic rights from all angles. The Campaigner want to categorically state the recent ban will not be the last of this regime. That more of this abuse on democratic rights shall come fierce on people.

We say nigerians must be ready to organise themselves as workers, working-class youth and the oppressed to reject any further attack on democratic rights. It must be REJECT! In organising ourselves as oppressed nigerians, we must be able to fight for improved living conditions on education, health, good roads and even jobs.

The six years of the regime has added to more sufferings to millions of working-class families who finds it hard to cope the difficult realities in the country. Poverty is on the rise. The Campaigner urges working-class youth and the Nigerian masses, to use this medium to organise themselves, to not only to fight for democratic rights but also for jobs and replacement of the profit system.

Replacing the regime won't be enough but the entire system. We believe that what is currently going on in Nigeria confirms why this must not remain like this without organisation, programme and philosophy of system replacement through socialism. Nigerians must wake up and see to an end the abuse of democratic rights.

We advice that we should be wary of the politicians using this medium to present a new slogan. Fundamentally, we in The Campaigner want to state that only the oppressed millions not the billionaires with bullion vans can end poverty, abuse of democratic rights etc inflicted on us.

We are in solidarity with all Nigerians users especially the working-class youth and disenfranchised, that the time to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH to abuse on democratic rights and also to fight for improved welfare is NOW! Let get united to end this attack on people both online and off line.

POPULATION RISE IS NOT OUR PROBLEM BUT THE POLICIES

Source: Flat Rock By Davy Fidel Writer/Freelance I n Nigeria, at a time, the propaganda branding some news is that our population and our tongue is our problem. That Nigeria is made up of 250 ethnic groups and a population of 180 million is the reason why we are having ethnic clashes unravelling among people.
