However, new date for the Final Written Address of both lawyers: Toluwani Adebiyi (Dock Workers) and ENL lawyers: Ameoge and Co, is set to hold on 28/11/2019. Meanwhile, the meeting, which started behind time experienced a low turnout compare to the previous meeting. However, issues revolving around the struggles were collectively deliberated.

Leaders of Agitating Dock Workers Forum, in the persons of Eseagu Gerard and Adebisi spoke at the meeting. Clarifications were made concerning the numbers of dock workers whose names are in the law suit. According to the leaders who brief the workers on this said, it is "584 names in the law suit" submitted to court by the lawyer: Barrister Toluwani Adebiyi, standing for the disengaged workers.

While this was clearly clarified at the course of the meeting in order to move forward. Suggestions concerning mobilizing for funds was also raised in order to plan subsequently for the next adjourned date. Leaders of the forum made the point clear that their struggle is not only getting victory at the court, for ENL Consortium Ltd to pay their ten years unpaid salaries that is N33, 000 minimum wage by 10% increment bi-annually, as agreed in the CBA of May 20, 2008.

Proposals and way forward were suggested by workers at the meeting on what to do subsequently on the new adjourned date. DF, a member of Campaign for Democratic and Workers Rights spoke at the meeting and urge the workers to use this struggle to demand for an end to casualization and privatization of the dock industry.

That, it is the ultimate goal to end the rot in the system that promote victimization of workers, attack on workers to democratically unionize etc. Despite the success so far of the struggle, the workers were urge to remain dogged in order to sustain the spirit of the struggle without fear.

On their part, the workers spirited themselves to prepare ahead of the new adjourned date, in order to mobilize all their arsenal to continue mounting pressure on ENL Consortium, and equally expose the company over the atrocities committed against workers in line with the failed policies of government on privatization of the port.

It is with the spirit of this struggle that the Campaign for Democratic and Workers Rights (CDWR) and Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM) call on other workers, unions, left organizations, genuine activists and the mass; to give solidarity to the disengaged dock workers in order to expose politically the rot in the dock industry and for the payment of the workers ten years unpaid salaries.

Above all, for an end to casualization and modern slavery at work places. More so, for the nationalization of the port industry and key sectors of the Nigerian economy, under workers and the poor mass democratic management and control, in order to end the profit driven system responsible to the high level of poverty, stinking the lives of workers and poor all over the globally.
