80 PERCENT DON'T HAVE TO EAT

Davy Fidel

Usually every 25th is always fill up to the brim with gallons of galore. People dancing and singing songs to recreate their sad mold.

Hoisting flag of festivities and holding feast before the ritual day, millions celebrate to feel the dawn of another year. Where the whole neighborhood would have felt the wind of this ritual day. The sky would know it is getting nearer.

But this period, the wind is dull. Full of dust that people's eyes are already filled with water, heavier in their palm. People now eating their heart and bitterly expressing sadness.

That the wind of this period is one large bone in their throat. Things have really gone bad and tough, compare to previous festivity. That no matter what, at least, many homes would have sneeze something.

Sadly enough, more than 80% this period don't have something to eat. Many families have to go hungry because this period, everything about the economy is terrible and monstrous to thousands of families, living underpit of poverty.

Statistically, in every ten family in the hood. Eight hardly got something to eat (now that economy is in shipwreck). Some have to rely on their neighbours for the day.

Like where I stay, there is a family of ten I know. Father, mother and eight children squeezing each other in a match box room. They don't even know how to resolve the day as the clock ticks heavier on them.

The same goes to other families whose living condition is something that is unspeakable. It worries the heart when you begin to think about. The whole place is obituary for a lot of young and the old.

The bitter expression is written virtually in all the faces squeeze in the 80 per cent. To some people especially the 50s, 60s, 70s and even 80s complain how the country has gone down the drain.

Nothing is working anymore. Usually, 25th by now must have been at its boiling point, but not. All the places by now should shake the earth because there is more to dance and drink with.

But when the economy speaks the other way, nothing comes out well. According to some parents who usually takes their children out. They said the government at this time has nail the economy to death. In fact, burn it down to ashes.

It has decided to refuse to even pay the minimum wage of workers, which is nothing compare to what they collect as allowances. Money not enough to feed their dogs, they have refuse never to pay.

While 80% have not to eat. New Telegraph never hesitate to reports each Senator "went home with N10 million" for the festive period outside their salaries and other allowances.

Some who are in the "House" were saying they "did not get anything to solve their problems" (Dec; 24, 2018). The government who says there is no money to pay the less than $52 new wage, were reported collecting such huge money.

This is outside the salaries, and allowances these people collect on monthly basis. Just to run a day event, "N10 million" went into the pocket of these politicians, who run this country down while 80% died in hunger.

This is not a surprise thing but a realistic fact, everyday bear witness to. For one person to have such, it mean the government is busy deceiving people. The country has more than what the poor can ever imagine.

Unfortunately, the resources only goes round among those coming to whisper deception into people's ears. With what the country have, if it is use to make the poor happy, inequality will be a thing of the past.

But, these cronies prefer to keep all happiness to themselves and continue to offer sadness, pain and suffering. They want people to beg for life at their kneel, that is why the country is in their pocket.

While this 25th is like this. The fear of working families is that, if it continues this way, going by the recent wind that blows dust. The coming year shall be tough and terrible, if nothing is done to save the experience now.

The government in its action is beginning to confirm that. Working families has already being nursing this fear, of what shall befalls them. Today already speaks volume of tomorrow's fact.

The government immediately after the election, shall come heavier to crush the ants. They will not hesitate to do more damage to the lifeless life of people, who are not happy the wind bite terribly. More suffering will be redouble.

The numbers of young people breaking bottles (as recently occurred at Aiyetoro) shall take a new level. 25th is one example of the many fear already in-store. Unless,  the 80% do something. It will get worst.

POPULATION RISE IS NOT OUR PROBLEM BUT THE POLICIES

Source: Flat Rock By Davy Fidel Writer/Freelance I n Nigeria, at a time, the propaganda branding some news is that our population and our tongue is our problem. That Nigeria is made up of 250 ethnic groups and a population of 180 million is the reason why we are having ethnic clashes unravelling among people.
