Global warming is now a world debate among leading nations on how to tackle the occurrence directly affecting the environment. Yet, resolutions end in the lip.
Suggestions from scientific experts have been put forward on several occasions on the possible energy source to power industrialization to save our planet but such effort are always swept behind by leading nations: China, the United States, Germany, Britain etc on this worrisome issues affecting the environment.
Worse still, President Donald Trump has withdrawn the United States from the global agreement and steps on tackling the climate change. Government on its for example China is silent to put forward policies that can control the ongoing assault to the environment done by industrial companies responsible to the environmental disasters affecting people.
This is not the first time the issue of Global Warming has become a central discussion. Several conferences have been held to look for possible way out on this Climate Change eruption the world is suffering from, which is directly and indirectly responsible for hurricane, flood etc that make poor communities to become the victims of government failure. For example, the Cop 15 Summit, Climate Change Summit 2016 etc has not yielded any impact to tackle this issue.
All is just in the lip of resolutions. Despite the excuses of politicians, government agencies saying efforts are being harmonized to eradicate this. The reality is nothing fundamental reflects in the so-called attempt to resolve this global warming crisis as people are suffering into the hands of government negligence because of protection of businesses and investment of global tycoons.
Weeks ago, Monday 13 November, 2017 in Guardian Newspaper (London). It was boldly stated that "fossil fuel burning set to hit record high in 2017" if nothing proactive is done, Scientists warn. Guardian also emphasize in its reports that an "estimate of 37 billion tonnes of Co2 will be emitted from burning fossil fuel, the highest total ever". Possibly industrial capitalists refusing to invest in Green scientific alternative to fossil fuel should be blame for this.
They prefer to padlock the agenda of politically taking any fundamental step to tackle this environmental crisis for the safety of lives and well being. But because of what is at stake: Oil, which the barons in world oil market benefit from we will prefer all resolutions should remain in stale.
It is also an obvious fact that all the various World Summits held in the past have largely turned out to be not yielding any result to resolve fossil fuel pollution. The end result has been to protect global tycoon and investment at the cost of the millions of people.
Interestingly, because of the way World Nations and global capital have been pretending to tackle Global Warming caused by Industrial Wastages in order to protect the Cartel investment and profit. The Paris Climate Agreement for 2020 recently signed has been flushed into the toilet. Among the imperialist nations the United States was recorded to be the highest pollutant of carbon emission, refused to sign into resolving the ongoing global warming crisis.
The contradiction that follows is the US government and politicians refusal to sign is based on the continual protection of Cartelization at the cost of putting the environment in jeopardy. The recent happenings suffered in the United States in poor communities where people were forced to evacuate their homes because of this environmental crisis, doesn't have any concern to the US politicians both now and then. The refusal to sign it is an indication that the issue of global investment tackling this crisis is illusionary entrapment in bourgeois politics.
However, this is not to exempt the fingers of other imperialist nations who also are responsible to the ongoing Global Warming. China which is now the Epicentre of Industrial Pollution, has recorded high rate of environmental damage done by many of the investments established in China that are massively exploiting workers to make profit. Drinking water, the atmosphere, the environment etc all are directly poisoned because of government officials and politicians protecting the investors on their assault both attacking living condition and destroying the environment.
For example in the Urban of Linfen, China day can't be differentiated from night because of the rapid pollution of Industrial waste. In some rural areas it is worst. People can no longer drink water again due to industrial poisoning. They have to surf for water to bath, cook and drink in the most terrible way. And government in its part doesn't say or do nothing in this respect. They prefer to roll on with the cats and enact laws defending them as the so-called Chinese government right now is doing.
It is the poor working class communities who are the ones that suffer dearly from all this. Any little rainfall will amount to flood. The recent one that occurred on Thursday 11 November, 2017 in Lagos State when some roads including communities were flooded. The so-called drainage both the Federal and State government claim to have constructed were all defeated. This clearly demonstrated that the policies of these pro rich politicians aren't really working for good.
This is a fact that public resources need to be injected adequately into tackling better the global warming; using all the available scientific research and technology to protect the world from further environmental destruction. Politicians and government officials continue to sweep off in their table this worrisome issue. A lot of them have continued to use divergent excuses to sustain the continuation of this pollution to finance crash businesses.
Fundamentally, this is a confirmation that the issue of environmental challenges a lot of people suffered from can't have a lead way in the hands of pro rich parties whose prior objective is to protect profit and not people. In the coming years ahead if nothing is done to reduce the industrial pollution, it will no longer be 37 billion tonnes. This time it shall be more than that, and triple the suffering of people who live below a dollar. In fact, the situation will get worse for people living in terrible condition as they are unable to attain a better life.
In neo-colonial backward countries, it will be an entire different scenario to record compare to what already obtains with families rendered homeless; for instance Nigeria. Millions of people shall add to the percentage of homelessness, become refugees as it is currently going on. Emphatically this states the contradicting fact that all the various World Summits organized on doesn't have any direct impact on the worrisome issue of Global Warming. What we have only seen is government representatives sloganeering and speechifying a possible way out to this.
There is no assurance that finance investment and cartel can tackle this crisis with pro-mass policy. With all the billions of dollars raised in the United Nations and other wise, nothing fundamental has been done to cut down Industrial Pollution or even invest massively and adequately on the possible alternative energy sources. However, it has always ended in sustaining crash investment and giving bailout to bankruptcy.
And because of how finance capital in its inhuman nature of running society. It has prefer to roast people to death, poison drinking water, render people homeless and increase the rate of poverty because of profit. The essence of the State using public resources to directly being involve in tackling issues like the Global Warming and other social-industrial and environmental related matters that affect people becomes a priority.
Also, this is about having a working class government to think first implementing welfare policies to improve living condition before other things that are contrary to development and better life. It is only when public fund is adequately managed democratically that the lives and the environment shall be save. The world global crisis caused by the big cats and dogs can't convince the ordinary people they are capable of it.
As far as human life is nothing to capital, government officials and politicians will continue to implement patent policies that shall defend the market interest. It is only a socialist government that can guarantee the safety of our universe, environment for us to better explore our world for the better.
