AJ HOUSE PUBLIC AWARENESS ON "MARCH AGAINST SUICIDE."

At the September 10 World Suicide Prevention Day, a literary organization named: Aj House of Poetry organised a public awareness on "March Against Suicide." And members of Movement for a Socialist Alternative, and also, Nigerian Union of Teachers, Ajeromi Ifelodun branch were there to show solidarity to the group for organizing such a public awareness.  At exactly 7am, the group was out at Boundary square to sensitized residents and working people, on the challenges attached to suicide and why the increase, calls on the government to begin addressing what is leading to people committing suicide. Hundreds of the MSA leaflets on join the "March Against Suicide! March to Smash Capitalism" was widely circulated. The group also circulated their own leaflet on "World Suicide Prevention Day. RESIDENTS IN AJEGUNLE DISSATISFIED ON FOOD DISTRIBUTION

According to the eye witness, who was on ground to pick factual evidence said, "more than three thousand loaves of bread were deposited in the local government secretariat". Also, he continued "three truck of baggo bags of food items that contain in it: 4/5 cup of rice, 2/3 cups of beans, garri, a pack of semo, maggi and salt were parked in the local government secretariat."

NO TO HIKE IN ELECTRICITY TARIFF!

The declaration of the Eleventh DisCos, in partnership with NERC to hike electricity tariff, from the unjustifiable N24kw/h to N38kw/h in April, 2020, has trigger a lot of reactions from electricity consumers. In places like Ajegunle, Alaba Oro, Ijora Badia, Olodi, Awodi-ora etc where electricity campaigns has been on for some time.

VICTIMIZED LASPOTECH WORKERS ORGANIZED DEMONSTRATION IN COURT

The agitated Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) workers gathered in Magistrate Court, Oyingbo, Lagos (27/11/2019) to register their grievances against the led management of Mr. Shogoru, who has been conducting marital laws on issues around and against, the democratic rights of workers, welfare, wages and other related anti-labour sharp practices. The case which was slated for hearing on 27/11/2019, was adjourned for Wednesday 22 January, 2020.

SACKED WORKERS OF ENL AND DANGOTE DEMAND FOR UNPAID ENTITLEMENTS

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), Ikoyi Lagos has set aside Thursday February 20, 2020 for a day of judgement for the dock workers; and December 4/5 (Weds/Thurs), 2019 for the second phase of Trial/Hearing of witnessed of Dangote Plc, concerning the sacked 800 Dangote Truck Officers. Apparently, for a lot of dock workers who were in court, hearing the set day of judgement, was a way forward.
